NIMBY... in Brazil???Amazon rainforest burning at record levels! Mine tailings dam disasters! Why do I get the feeling that when you consider the current price of copper, gold and silver, getting approval for a massive open-pit (and relatively shallow) mine, kind of in the middle of nowhere, is not really a concern? With the "goodwill" Meridian has created over the years in Rondonia, do you not think that the Brazilian National Mining Agency and the DNPM will bend over backwards to allow a mining operation? It's not like they're going to start mercury amalgamation or cyanide leaching techniques... lol "Dig, screen, sell", where have we seen that before?
As far as partnering with a major... isn't this the sort of scenario that a company such as Sentient loves to get involved in? Could we see deja vu all over again??? LOL!
