Hold in cash account and wait for NCIB or Dividend. No bid deal.
for the newish retail investor, Don't do sell to SIB in cash acct. tax treatment is sucky.

what I do not like about SIB is the way the shares are bought, if you are in investor with shares in a cash account it is deemed acquired though share redemption and use of paid up capital, so it ends up not being a capital gain and looks like to cause more taxes. While if an institution redeems they are able to do some accounting voodoo to minimize tax impact on redemption. This is what I remember from a course I took years ago, I might be wrong but do not want to risk the tax implication.
