I would add that they are a year or two behind Harte. Time will tell whether management makes a difference or such projects are doomed to fail without a larger and more accelerated production plan. I may get get flamed for saying this, but my take is that gold mining is no longer profitable in Canada at grades that were traditionally found to be viable. Costs are too high, and even a frugal management may struggle to keep AISC low.
Also there is too much hype in resource estimations. Anyone knows what happened to the Gold Eagle Mines property that GoldCorp acquired from SR and co. for $1.5 bn in 2008?
