I like to put in stink bids... most don't get filled, but every once in awhile a moment of panic occurs and I come back to the screen to see my bid was filled and is sweetly in the green. Plus, I get shares at an extreme support level. Stink bids require patience, because you always have to adjust them as the market moves. But, it removes emotion, the biggest negative factor working against investors. Also, never go "all in". Always have cash ready for the next opportunity somewhere else.

My brother and I 5 years ago we made multiple tests by placing stop lost close to the share price and we experienced the movement down they took the shares and the price went up to the same as before.!   I decided to never put a stop lost to close.
