RE:What do the regulars get from bullboards? For the last several days I haven't really read any posts because they have all been about insulting and bickering, and conjecture regarding issues nobody knows about. I just don't have the time or energy to waste on things like this anymore. I guess I'm getting old, or maybe my priorities lie elsewhere. If I do see somrthing worth reading I read it, but those have been few and far between lately.
Best of the season to all.

The old, common charge is that they work out of boiler rooms or mama's basement, etc. ... that they're paid ... that they need to be answered because their words have the potential to do serious damage....
Worth remembering is that wise old poem: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me." Alas, that's only true if if you yourself (non-troll) are tough, or whole in soul. Also, let's be totlally honest here. None of us individually have a serious effect on the share price.
We only have an effect on the sp when there's is a huge proliferation of individual voices, so that they become part of an army swamping every public forum with negative or positive opinion. Examples:
Negative: the armies of trolls attacking Tesla (crica 2015 to 2020) and BlackBerry (circa 2011 to 2018, when the torrent started slowing down to dribbles).
Positive: the army of Apple fans driving up the sp from 2007 to roughly 2019, or the armies of apes supporting Tesla from 2020 onward, and GME + AMC + BB in 2021.
The main effect that opponents on bullboards have on each other is to convince each other to enter or exit a position.
The problem is that this only works if you use research, logic, facts, or theories supported by various connections of the dots.
The rest of it -- the bickering, the name-calling, the useless needling ... what's it good for? All I can see is loads of people who've been spun out to the margins. No power, no meaning, no sense of having an effect on the lives of others. We all get some sense of validation + human connection? It's just that some get it by trying to help others get across The Street, and others get it by blowing raspberries.
