all us retail types think $29 is grossly undervalued and hope for a bidding war but I spoke with somebody this morning "in the business" and the prevailing opinion amonst institutional types and analysts is that it is a fair deal or even that Kinross is paying TOO MUCH.  I know, I know, I don't agree with that either but the rationale was that most similar takeovers lately have had little to no premium attached and this deal has a whopping 40% premium over the current trading price.

Having said that, does anybody know what % age of the stock is held by retail vs. institutions.  I saw the number on CEO.ca earlier but can't remember.  The higher the better in terms of a no vote and a counter offer by somebody like Barrick.
