Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

some interesting clearwater wells around BTEseeing a lot of activity creeping in towards BTE Peavine lands....woodcote has been drilling several wells just tot he west of BTE peavine...

Private Islander Oil and GAs 05-31-081-12W5 - AB-7 is currently drilling..this is just to the northeast of peavinew new lands...right adjacent to BTE TWp 81-Range11...which I dont think BTE has mentioned this land as perspective before..they have about 30 sections here.

Then Spur is creeping up towards the southeast with 09-17-078-09 W5 - AB-6....its a little further than the well noted above but definently can tell activity is moving from the martin hills/nipsi area more to the northwest in BTE land area....
