SIR Royalty Income Fund (the Fund) holds investment in SIR Corp (SIR). The Funds' investment, SIR is engaged in the business of owning and operating full-service restaurants in Canada. SIR has concept restaurant brands, including Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill, Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar, and Canyon Creek Chop House, signature restaurant brands, such as Reds Wine Tavern, Reds Midtown Tavern, Reds Square One, and The Loose Moose, which are used by SIR under a license agreement with SIR Royalty Limited Partnership (the Partnership. The Fund receives distribution income from its investment in the Partnership and interest income from the SIR Loan. The Fund indirectly participates in the revenues generated under the License and Royalty Agreement through its Investment in the Partnership.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Gift cardsAh, Home Capital!  I used to have a decent holding and then it went down to around $5 after liquidity issues.  Thankfully, I figured there was no way it would be allowed to fail - I held my nerve and doubled/tripled down, then rode it back to the mid-20s and ended up with a nice profit. I sold because I am primarily an income investor and figured the divi was never going to go back to what it was. I laugh looking back on this incident now, because it was really stressful at the time, but absolutely dwarfed by what happened in March 2020!   Still, I probably learned a good lesson that came in handy later.
