RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:IAM on Twitter re patents Guys, IP licensing revenue was pulling in $250/yr and growing at 90% margins. A P/E of 10 is not unreasonable. Instead of $2.5B up front, it's not unreasonable to get $1B up front with a large tail for, say, 7 yrs that totals another $1.5B based at least partially on future patent usage.
This is going to be a BIG deal.
It sounds like the complicating issue is financing which makes sense if it's a consortium of large (think FB) and small (think Onward Mobility) organizations that want (or need) to pay in a mixture of cash or stock/share ownership.
It's a dog's breakfast but the wait will come to an end in January and it'll all be worth it.
Maybe it'll all be rolled out at CES, maybe a bit later...but it's going to all come together nicely. Wait and see.
QNX is a raging success and IVY will help monetize that platform while they take a few shackles for licensing it on the side. Cybersecurity has been flattish YoY, but with Crowdstrike and others shitting the bed we know where the G18, banks and other multinationals are going to sink their $$$ and it's going to be in end to end solution which only $BB can provide coverage that doesn't just stop the last malware, but every future one using THE best AI engines in the industry. It'll come.
