The short-term investors action based on short term trend and noises (e.g., the recent US SPR release). The risk is also relatively high and is similar to making bet in a casino. Whereas long-term investors mostly interest on the fundamentals and outlook of a target company together with the macro trend that would impact your investment. Technical investors would usually evaluate the influence of a negative event whether it is a short-term or not. If it is, this could be an investment opportunity. It would be even great when panic sales of stock occur. This is the time when you find reserved fund is useful. Rearrangement of investment could be made accordingly.
Do you think COVID-19 cannot be conquered? Will the economic activities come back in 2022? Now it could be the chance to act. Good luck.
