RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:I-95 Stranded Driver..... I wonder any EV among themWRONG... it probably already has/had an impact on Cenovus..... Selling Retail for dirt cheap.... I'm guessing future of EVs probably played a factor in decision making.

All just my opinion/view/thinking/guessing/assuming.

You need to move 10x the amount of earth just to produce the battery in an EV, nevermind the vehicle.  Any push for new technology, charging infrastructure and power generation will just increase oil consumption.  What this means is Cenovus is a screaming buy at these prices.  It's still undervalued.  The future looks good.

that's grade school level thinking. I don't buy your premise EV would make oil obselete.

EV battery require exotic commodities (graphite, rare earth metal, nickel, lithium) that consume more energy to mine using diesel/gasoline heavy machinery than drilling for oil. (assuming glass and plastic makeup remain the same for both ICE and ECs)

When honda, toyota, etc improved gas mileage yearly on their cars, did oil consumption went down? no, it went up.

When we start using computer and display monitor, did demand for paper went down? no, it went up

technology improve our standard of living, which will lead to higher consumption of energy of all form. There will be more soccer mom in south america, africa, india, asia, going places and doing more activities. I even doubt china would invade taiwan if china see a long drawn out war because china won't have enough oil to run their military personnel and war machines.

There's a HUGE push to EVs.....  How well the are adopted????   Things like this could play a factor, especially in a COLD country like CANADA.

But the CRAZIES, I believe going to FORCE EVs on to everyone.

Oil Rich COLD country like Canada..... gasoline engines makes sense.

All just my opinion/view/thinking.
