RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Open the Door..

Hi PILGRIM,

Education and years of experience in a particular industry don't just matter a lot, they are imperative for success. The examples of Musk and Bezos as well as any other top notch company leader proves that, contrary to your attempt to use them as examples of being simply administrators. No, deep technical knowledge and many years of experience in their respective industries is actually a requirement of success. How will a Chairman of the BOD of a mining company evaluate candidates for the CEO position when they lack the deep industry knowledge to do so? Based on what... how they "feel" about the person? What a complete joke. People in the industry pick up immediately on the finer points of a candidates past successes and failures and why they occurred, as well as the factors at play which can either diminish their accolades or exonerate them from taking the blame. Those who are ignorant in the field just gaze on, with even crucial points going over their head. That is why the Chairman of the BOD position is reserved for veterans in the industry that have many contacts that will benefit the company. They are not actually administrators. Administration is a day to day position that is carried out by someone who is present within the company so they can actually administrate. Seriously, just look who is the Chairman at other precious metals producers. Have you done that yet? It is usually reserved for successful and well known former CEOs of large mining companies. You know, they do it this way for a reason. How absurd is the idea the Francois Mestrallet will just "administrate" from France, telling people "you do this and you do that" and it will all work out. It is beyond a complete joke that he is the Chairman of the BOD, it is actually dangerous to the company because he does not have the high level skills and experience, as well as the decades of quality contacts that should have been formed so that he can draw on them to guide the company forward.

So you know that Francois Mestrallet is an OLD MAN who LIVES IN FRANCE who has NO MINING EDUCATION and NO MINING BACKGROUND and you still like the idea of him being Chairman of the BOD, wanting to "wait and see" what happens? Absolutely illogical and ridiculous.
