Whitecap Resources Inc. is an oil-weighted growth company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Montney resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. Kaybob is located in the Fox Creek region of Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Duvernay resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. The PRA is its original asset area. Its East Division is comprised of four regions: Central AB, West Sask, East Sask and Weyburn. Its Central Alberta region represents the bulk of its Cardium and liquids-rich Mannville assets.

That could be fact, one thing you must take into consideration, WCP was a different company in 2014 , less holdings, debt and total amount of outstanding shares at that time have to be taken into account. Is WCP undervalued today? definitely, just look at their P/E ratio, it's under 3 x earnings which is very low & heavily undervalued. They earn more than $3.00 per share if I'm not mistaken. I won't be selling any until we reach double digits. Once their debt is under a Billion, dividends will increase, not to mention they're still buying shares & possibly looking for more bargains if they present themselves. Exxon & Imperial oil have recently stated that they're looking to sell some assets in Alberta. The main thing WCP shareholders must remind themselves, our CEO is one of the smartest & best in the Canadian oil industry. Relax & enjoy the ride.
