I think there are 2 possibilities that define what fandom is:

1. Honest company with incompetent management team who have failed to produce and successfully market anything of value over several years.

2. Corrupt team of individuals who successfully produce a product that looks promising enough to ignorant investors, pump up the stock price over a certain time frame via forward-looking news releases, hype, and stock price manipulation, dump their shares into the market leaving multitudes of bagholders, repeat the process over and over, and manage to stay out of jail.
