- Significant environmental benefits – intensity of 0.35t/MWh; below Alberta’s TIER regulation benchmark of 0.37t/MWh
- Carbon conversion ready and hydrogen capable (30% to start and upgradable to 95%)

Whitla Wind is the largest wind facility in Alberta. Located in the County of Forty Mile, the Whitla Wind facility was completed on December 1, 2021, when the Phases 2 and 3 expansions achieved commercial operations (Phase 1 began commercial operations on December 1, 2019). Construction of all three phases of the facility were completed on-schedule and on-budget.
