Regarding Opex - Baytex January Summary

Regarding Opex - Baytex January SummaryJanuary is the month where leaps, which are longer term options, expire. I did not quantify this myself. This provides potential for a greater amount of options to expire.

The manipulators...

"Painted" a bearish engulfing pattern on a weekly chart for US Traded BTEGF for week ending 1/21/22. This is more bearish, though for a market that has about 1/10 volume of Toronto.

"Painted" a bearish harami pattern on a weekly chart for Toronto traded BTE for week ending 1/21/22. Not as bearish, though still bearish.

I personally consider these false patterns, having happened the week of options expiration.

Then, over the wekend and into Monday, the media provides fear based in war mongery, and a quick oil price dip that does not last.

The result is, oil company shares of inventory from those who fear short term losses, to those who need to fill institutional orders. A victory for institutions, over individuals.

Tuesday arrives and the manipulation scheme is released like a coiled spring. Prices are rebounding.

Normalcy has arrived for a while.

Again, this was all predictable.

Thanks for the positive replies. I have not had the time to read as much over that last week.
