As I thought, the defamation (libel) claim is independent of the patent infringement claim. Therefore it will in all liklihood be dealt with before the infringement claim. The process for the latter is quite long.

The damages are not limited to $50K. You misunderstand that section. What is important is that Massachusett law supports awards up to treble damages as may be decided at court.

EXRO is seeking many millions of dollars in this suit. Rest assured of that!
