The CLA-1816 provides effective pain reduction, without the risks of addiction or respiratory suppression that exist with opioid analgesics. CLA-1816 strongly binds with and activates the alpha3 glycine pain receptor in the spine. The Company has leased a laboratory, office, and archival space in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Another sad thing about all this is that the company's wonder drug R107 is under serious threat. Every week there are new Articles/preclinical studies coming out with other Nitric Oxide delivery systems that are proving effective and safe. It's just a matter of time now and at what point CLAS will give up on developing R107.
