Correct. When managment saw the rise in copper price last year they stuck to their long-term plan rather than quickly modify it to fast tracking production increases.
One of their big mistakes goes back to the original plant design. They should have put a crusher at the bottom of the pit and conveyored the ore out.
This would have eliminated the high cost of haul trucks and diesel fuel. A crusher and conveyor operate on electricity of which there is an abundance in B.C. A crusher and conveyor would have to be relocated from time to time but this has been done successfully in other mines.
