XORTX Therapeutics Inc. is a Canada-based late-stage clinical pharmaceutical company. The Company develops therapies to treat progressive kidney disease modulated by aberrant purine and uric acid metabolism in orphan disease indications, such as autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), as well as type 2 diabetic nephropathy (T2DN) and fatty liver disease. The Company has three product development programs: XRx-008, which is a program for the treatment of ADPKD; XRx-101, which is a program to treat acute kidney injury (AKI) associated with respiratory virus infection, AKI and associated health consequences, and XRx- 225, a program for the treatment of T2DN. The Company's XRx-008 program is designed for longer term stable chronic oral dosing of xanthine oxidase inhibitors.
