RE:RE:RE:Can anybody give me an example
A little detail on just one of those RS's. T.BCT
I had accumulated 30,000 shares at a cost of 30 cents per share and the hsare price has slowly eroded to the point it was at the 5 cent level (my first mistake - but it was a promising breast cancer therapy).
The new Chairman of the Board decided the best move for the company was to do a RS. They decided on a 1 for 300 @ 4 cents = $12 and they would go for a Nasdaq listing.
They did the split in January of 2020. My 30,000 shares @ 4 cents (which cost me 30c each i.e. $9000) became 100 shares @ $12 ($1200). Over the next 2 months they bounced quite a bit and got up to $25 level (equivalent of 8 cents) before they started to pull back. I gave up and sold at $19 (equivalent of 0.063 cents from my original 30 cents).
In February of 2021 they finally got listed on Nasdaq while at the same time keeping their TSX listing. Today (another 15 months later) they closed at $8.50 on the TSX (equivalent of 0.028 cents) or $6.63 U.S. after listing at about $6 in Feb 2021. And they just received Fast Track Designation from the FDA.
