HPQ Silicon Inc V.HPQ

Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

HPQ Silicon Tech Allows One-Step Transformation Of Quartz Into High Purity Silicon, Enters Most Exciting R&D Phase

That was really great interview regarding Purevap QRR Gen 3. The confidence and reference to bidding war is referenced...again.
Many great points but few of many key ones got me excited:
"To be truly honest....This is the most exciting time of the R& D phase - when we complete this phase we will be in that position(successful in the silicon space)"
"It is finally the phase, the biggest scaling up we are doing 250x scaling up the size From a washer dryer size to like a size of a house system. All the other scaling up are by a factor 5-20x. This is the most exciting one. The guys at Pyro are the same guys that built the same waste destruction for the US Military so we are very confident that this will work."
"The fundamental dynamics are as follows ..my end clients will eventually sign off take agreements which are the big boys ..they are not small companies. So as I get my projects advanced enough to position where I will get a bidding war between those big boys. If I reach the 4 goals as I set out in the press release then it will become very interesting even before we get the nano reactor working because I will be resolving the feedstock issue for everyone else."
"Car manufacturers are in a bad position as they need to control their entire material chain. How did Tesla succeed? They signed secret deals to control nickel before nickel took off. The same thing is going to happen with silicon. That is why QRR is so important."

The 4 goals HPQ stated in NR  :
a) That it can produce a higher purity silicon material than any traditional processes in one step,
b) That it does not require the extremely pure feedstock needed by conventional processes,
c) That it only requires 4.5 MT of raw material to make 1 MT of Silicon versus the 6 MT required by conventional processes,
d) That it does possess a significant cash cost advantage versus the lowest cost traditional Silicon producer.
