RE:RE:Someone Is Trying To Halt TLT'S Recent RUNThat's why I think this is accumulation and not short covering. What is the short position anyway? We've had decent volume recently, is there that many shares short?
I think they saw some juicy mid-size offerings every half cent up to 5 cents or thereabouts and decided to take it. Just as a big offer will scare away buyers a big bid will make sellers hesitant so they will stick in a big bid down below but not near the offer.
That's why the big offer later in the day, offerings were thinning out and not wanting to run it up any higher they try to attract some willing profit takers.
Mostly though I just don't see the risk-reward in shorting at this level and at this point in time? But someone with a couple of million shares or more taking a chance at losing 200K in order to amass a larger position on the cheap seems worth it.
At the end of the day I don't really care what the reason is, I just want to see it keep going.

If it was legit and you did want to lighten your posirion by 271K, you wouldn't put it all out there at once because it would scare many buyers. You would put 1/3, or 1/4 at a time. If someone put a bid of 100K up you could put a 100K ask, but other than a situation like that, I think this is done for a reason, and a big short would easily have that much to offer.
If it was 2019 I'd think people were getting out to have cash for a pp with warrants No nothing like that this time
