@cargo A very important piece of information in yesterday news is that $PYR is planning to introduce plasma torches upstream of the anode baking process. With the developments with inert anodes as a replacement for carbon anodes (Arctus Aluminium, Elysis and Rusal going in that direction) they will also need to find a solution upstream to reduce CO2 emissions. "Even by feeding renewable electricity and using inert anodes in the electrolytic aluminum production, we still have work to do in order to become net zero GHG emitters.
