SILICON TRADE WARS

SILICON TRADE WARS Here's a superb article on what's going on in the Silicon Industry and how North America may benifit from impositions layed upon China.

EXCERPT -
The U.S. Department of Commerce has also added five Chinese entities to the Entity List for accepting or using forced labor in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. This action targets these entities’ ability to access commodities, software and technology subject to the Export Administration Regulations. It essentially makes it harder for U.S. companies to do business with these organizations, causing manufacturers in other jurisdictions — such as Canada — to be in greater demand.

DRIFTWOOD -
Could the latest news indicate " Driftwood " will come online before WHY R resources ?
Hope so. Pecking order is important. Seems Driftwood has lingered far longer than WHY's.
Would be justified if -  Driftwood - took presidence over any other Candian Mg competitor.

EXCERPTDriftwood Magnesium Plant

The Company has begun the quotation process for the acquisition of magnesium metal processing equipment. A confidential prior study by Hatch Consulting (Canada) for MGX, identified a potentially profitable price of magnesium metal based on prior exploration and engineering work at its Driftwood Magnesium deposit. Recently, magnesium metal has entered this range. As a result, the Company has issued a request for quotation for up to 16,000 tonnes Mg metal processing equipment and expects an understanding of capital requirements shortly.

IN MY OPINION,
If Stakeholders are brought in on any green energy project in Canada, it would supply ideal backing with the funds ot see it through.  Assigning the metals to the right sector is key to success and longevity of the project.  Whether paired with Military fuels, fuel cells, or hybrid super alloys -  would be a great story.

Of Note -
Indigenous Nations have als obeen funded - and are also considered stakeholders.
I've read a few reports that describe how the First Nations have been seeded with incredible funding in ehichot partner with many energy projects. Aside of Governments and Key Stakeholders who are forging at incredible pace to fund many projects. In my opinion, Stakeholders are a new breed of finding and at samer time changing the markets on how projects acquire funding.

Let's see how this double bill ( Magnesium + Silicon ) story unfolds.
Double bill - double thrill.
Hopefully, more news soon.
