Building out Florence will certainly be affected by inflation. Labor and processing costs will affect operational costs. I have also heard recently that the cost of sulfuric acid is way up. On YCharts, it shows the price of sulfuric acid up from $130 a couple of years ago to $300 today. All this inflation is part of the reason that the price of copper is going up long term. Unfortunately, the price will probably go down as we sink into recession. The other problem with Florence is that there will be operational issues that need to be ironed out. There always are. Look at the disaster at Excelsior. I do not think Florence will be another Excelsior, but I am sure there will be some problems at start up. Florence should eventually be a cash cow, but I think it is way too early to own Taseko. I am going to wait at least 6 months before I even consider owning this stock again.
