NR 30-06-22June 30th, 2022 - Green Battery Minerals inc. (the "Company") (TSXV: GEM) (OTC: CZSVF) announces it has mobilized a field crew to the Berkwood Graphite Project, situated 280 km north of Baie-Comeau, Quebec.
The exploration campaign will further map out the geology and extent of graphite on surface over priority targets with a focus on Zone 6. A beep mat will be used to identify graphite outcrop under cover of thin vegetation much like previous programs (see October 1, 2019 news release).
Structural mapping surrounding these anomalous zones will also take place in order to guide drill hole targeting. Additionally, an excavator will be on site to construct drill trails to the top of the mountain at Zone 6 where all indications suggest the presence of a fold nose much like the deposit of high-grade graphite enrichment at Zone 1.
In the event that graphite is exposed in outcrop by this work, opportunistic channel sampling will take place in the core of the fold nose on Zone 6 which will tie potential future drill intercepts to surface for the resource model.
Tom Yingling, President and CEO of Green Battery states " After proving the presence of high-grade graphite in drill holes along the southern limb at Zone 6 and confirming our exploration techniques, we are looking forward to preparing the site for a future drill program into the guts of this anomaly while deepening our understanding of the geological context."
About the Berkwood Graphite Project - The Berkwood Graphite Project is located within the jurisdiction of Quebec, in the Manicouagan Regional County Municipality, three hours driving time from the city of Baie-Comeau.
Easy access is provided via a major secondary road and numerous tertiary and forest roads that traverse the property.
The current mineral resource at the Berkwood Graphite Project includes in-pit constrained resource totalling 1,755,300 tonnes of indicated resources at 17.00 % Cgr and 1,526,400 tonnes in inferred resources at 16.39 % Cgr. In-pit Resource at Lac Gueret South Project (rounded numbers)
The mineral resource estimates above are described in the technical report entitled, NI 43-101 Technical Report Mineral Resource Estimate on the Lac Gueret South Graphite Property, Quebec, Canada.
