RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:LoanSpeculation only Kiwi from me :-
From an earlier post June 22nd 2022 :- "Possible Reason For Delay.
We know that:-
- Financing is approved.
- Metso/Outotec deal is sweet.
- Underground mining company is way ahead of schedule.
- Power and water is on track.
And so much more.
But, remember when POSCO EPC (engineering/procurement/construction) was replaced by another EPC company (forgot the name), well the strange thing to me is that there has been no mention of this company since the change over.
That was a long time ago.
Just my thoughts, but is Lewis spending the time to make sure the best deal is done for the EPC mob to get the cheapest contracts i.e. concrete works, earth works, construction and steel fabrication ???
Historically, that is what he does to shave costs.
I am stuffed if I can see any other reason for delays at this momement.
Just a thought."
To add to that, the Almonty in-house process engineers and plant designer teams might have had to make some major / minor changes to the plant process as well as physical equipment sizing changes , due to the full 1.2 mil tpa throughput from the start (instead of a slower start at 640k tpa) plus the downstream plant has to be added and factored in at the last minute (months in project terms).
Things like :-
Pumps and electric motors for this
Sump and tank size capacity increases
Pipe size increases and routs re-planned,
Concrete revamps
Motor control centre room revamp (important)
Control room computors need to be revamped (also important)
And a F**k Load more.
It all adds up in the end and we know Lewis likes to triple check everything.
Why??
Because he is a perfectionist.
Pure and simple.
S-Material Handling Co. Ltd as EPC (thanks whois) might have to do some serious alterations with the changes, but the "E" stands for "Engineering", and with out that you cant do the "P" that stands for "Procurement", and so the "C" for "Construstion" will not happen until the first two are done or at least at a stage that satisfies the EPC group and Lewis to start laying concrete, which should be very soon.
Two months of Summer and three of Autumn (fall) to go for a good concrete lay, so there is plenty of time for that.
I am stuffed if I know for sure what is going on, but as always Lewis seems to come up with a better deal for all of us in the end.
Bank deals ?
Off take deals ?
Govt. deals ?
Metso/Outotec deals ?
Plansee deals ?
His next NR might shed some light on that. I hope.
