It is simply a matter of either pumping the pit out, or putting a "freezing curtain" around the pit to stop the water coming. And RT exercised all 4 options, which if you rememeber were tied to spend, not delivery of outcomes, after they spent the money on using the verticle mining technology to get the bulk samples. So they "exercised" all the options simply by szpending the money to a) test the verticle mining technology and b) seeing if the "George Grade Multiplier" was in fact accurate.
