You have no knowledge of the size or scope of the license to support your itty bitty descriptor. It's my opinion that the license may be a proof of concept designed to demonstrate the revenue potenial of Wilan's wireless portfolio, within the auto industry, to prospective buyers. Experts have predicted that the auto sector will be a significant source of IP licensing revenue for the next 5 - 10 years. Accepting your hypothesis that the announced license is akin to the Moto license in terms of revenue, the difference here is that there are at least 12 auto manufacturers with significant USA sales, whereas Moto was a last mobile phone holdout one-off. Further, the wireless portfolio is not a partner asset, so margins are higher.
Ten licenses at $5M - $10M each (with low litigation costs) would represent a very valuable asset/revenue stream in any Wilan sale negotiations. Just sayin.
