Old government plan to sign new contracts- must read
Clara Lpez asks the outgoing Duque government not to sign new oil exploitation contracts
The request was sent to the National Hydrocarbons Agency and the outgoing president, Ivn Duque.
The senator elected by the Historical Pact Clara Lpez asked the outgoing government of Ivn Duque to suspend the approval of the New Regulation for the selection of contractors and allocation of areas for exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons.
"In the last days of its mandate, the Duque Government, with the ANH (National Hydrocarbons Agency), is promoting a new regulation to tie up new areas and contracts for oil exploration and extraction , with questionable and not very transparent regulations," he says. Lopez on his Twitter account.
The elected senator adds that the purpose of the new regulation is to adopt criteria for contracting exploration, evaluation and exploitation of hydrocarbons owned by the Nation and the " signing of the corresponding contracts (...) new regulation eliminates minimum legal contracting conditions and selection parameters objective existing in current regulations, leaving current contracting requirements at the discretion of the president of ANH”.
