At the same time though, General Motors, Tesla, Nissan, Rivian and other automakers have pledged to start building cars with cobalt-free lithium ion batteries. So they have enough Cobalt now already for 2025, but 2026 and beyond, Cobalt will no longer be used much at all in EVs.
