RE:RE:Big problem with cobalt free battery Allwill not be rosy with EVs.
Which model one can make it across Minnesota or Northern Ontario on a winter day at minus 30 degrees with the heater on?
Which model is okay sitting for hours with the air conditioner running in city traffic on a hot summer day or during a hot summer road trip.
That is not a problem for existing vehicles.but do you know of any EV that can do this?
Does your old apartment building with its dated electrical wiring provide you with rechargers for everyone or do your window air conditioners already push it to the limit?
If everyone gets to fuel their cars on electricity we are going to need a lot more nuclear plants to make it because wind and solar do not work so well or reliably as Germany is now sadly learning.
Yes, there is a place for EVs but they need much to carry more energy storage capacity to match what we have aleady in a vehichle.
Once the EV becomes ubiquitous, solar and wind can never support the volume of energy required to keep them charged, even after we build all the extra powerlines and heavy duty rewiring to carry the additional powerload to our streets, malls and apartments.
Will you electricity bill be taxed to pay for these grid renewals as a fuel?
As usual we face tradeoffs with new technologies.
