Obsidian Energy Ltd. is a Canada-based exploration and production company. The Viking is a light oil, horizontal development play located in central Alberta. Its operations are focused on the Esther area. Peace River is a stable, cold-flow, base production asset. It operates on a contiguous and an acreage within the heart of the Peace River Oilsands region.

It would be interesting to know the composition of bond holders broken down to us and canadian. I'm guessing that Loukas used his commections in US to get the deal done. And they took advantage of the canadian mkts closed today to buy. With wti down almost $5 bucks but obe up sognificantly, these r long term holders. Very bullish if u ask me. My last adds were 2.5 weeks ago at $6.15usd when wti went down close to $90.
