RE:TTF vs AECOPoliticians have very little to do with short term natural gas prices but do alter longer term prices by not approving pipelines r drilling. The free market is demonstrated here at its best. In Canada we have too much natural gas production for the available pipeline capacity so natural gas prices are being beaten down until some production gets shut in. In Europe they have a shortage of supply so prices are being bid up until people burn less or alternate supplies can be obtained such as more LNG.
so you can blame the politicians for leaning towards the left in the past and limiting natural gas production and/or pipelines but right now the free market is in control.
