RE:RE:RE:RE:Jefferies Expects Cash Flow Positive by 2026invest in a MSO US company
I think you have the right idea.
Canada is going to take time to sort out. Too many potpreneurs, too much pot and the law and policy regulators aren't listening to the lobbyists who are telling them what the industry needs so they can make profits.
There is one US MSO that, imho, has kneejerked down to bargain basement levels given that they are a leading US MSO and have a deal with THE leading marijuana and hemp company in the world, Canopy Growth.
I will mention it again that Acreage Holdings has a deal inked with Canopy for Canopy to swap shares of Canopy for shares of Acreage Holdings when it is go time in the US.
Acreage is well established, argueably doing better than Canopy at present because they are doing business in several US states and they are destined to be Canopy Growth USA division or they might even change their name to the Big Brother company Constellation Brands who hold the cheque book that is backing this deal and they have interests in a few other US potpreneurs, either with shares or as lenders.
The US has provided the marketplace that potpreneurs can make money and profit if navigated properly and staying inside the lines set out by the Feds.
I never really thought much about the risk of the US not having access to proper banking tools and having to deal with cash like the cartels. Apparently there are a lot of US players that didn't care and have piled in to potstocks anyway, but not all of them.
There is more to come when the US gets it together to take the sting out of the Fed legislation and allow access to marijuana companies to the same tools that all other US businesses are privy to.
There have been several bills presented and hopefully they will take the best points of all of those bills and decriminalize marijuana and swing the doors open to non US participants and enable their own pot companies to thrive, ideally, at the Federal level such that there is one set of rules that apply across all of the States and allows Interstate commerce and transfer of product.
I don't know how much longer they can keep the will of the majority at bay on this issue but it could be the midterms or at the latest 2024 Election.
Some of those political financial contributors are buying in to marijuana and hemp companies to be a part of it, rather than on the outside looking in and I am sure those political contributions will follow with the new vice.
The US potpreneurs not having or having limited access to banking, brokering and borrowing has me thinking that when they break out of this and the rest of those investors, that have been sitting on the sidelines, pile in, it is going to be the biggest greenrush event that the world will ever see.
If you are considering an investment in Canopy at these beat down levels, take a look at their choice for US expansion, Acreage Holdings, that has most of what Canopy is going to want to maintain world leadership status.
When Canopy plants its flag on US soil they will be coming with International experience, a whole line of skus and financial backing. This event will mirror what happened in Canada with 10x the bang less those brave US investors that are already invested in pot companies.
