In Canada we were ALWAYS  taught in Imperial Gallons - same as Troy Ounces and Imperial Tonnes,

Don't mean to rain on your parade - but do get it right before openly criticising!

If you're over 60 years old and aren't interested in how the commodities world works in the 21st century, then yeah, you probably were taught the British Imperial System and are still living in the past when Imperial Gallons were meaningful in Canada and other places in the world. Perhaps you also still have a phone with a cord attached from the receiver to the base, bell-bottom jeans, a mood ring, and other nostalgia you cling to. However, sane investors living here in the 21st Century in Canada, the USA, and most other developed nations use Litres or U.S. Gallons when discussing the prices of a barrel of oil or a quantity of gasoline, mainly because Canada moved on from the British Imperial System to the Metric System decades ago and oil is priced on the world market per U.S. Gallon and is traded as such.

I win.
