RE:While the world is tumbling in gold sectorBang on idle. Just reading some news on POSCO's new nickel refinery in Korea. They have $25 Billion planned to be spent over next 8 years wanting to be biggest battery producer.

They've been globally buying up mines for nickel, lithium and graphite in order to be independent of China. As well they need the metals to qualify for US EV tax credit. 

Multiply that by how many other companies wanting in as well and that's pretty mind boggling numbers wanting to secure their supplies for the next 40 years.
