Best shot is on horizon here for commercialization. I don't know anyone in the Company or communicate with them. Everything here is a google search away.
Backing up slightly, out goes Nelson ( good ) ( golden handshake bad ) didn't sit well with me but I'm just an investor. Regardless, I think the move was precipitated by the largest investor Moss Cadey. He has the most to lose so just my deductive thinking and My opinion. They bring in Darren Morcombe As Executive Director and interm CEO. Morcombe is a mining professional with many years in the profession. He is also a Director on the Board of Foran Mining. Interestingly Foran Mining has a non binding agreement with the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan Board for 200 million. Supposed to finalize soon. For anyone who doesn't know, that Pension Plan may be the largest in Canada? Well done Foran. In comes Mr Dubey. Geez, his bio says he worked for the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan for 5 years. He also started Basecore Metals ( BaseCore Metals LP, an independent 50/50 joint venture between Glencore Canada Corporation and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board, is a leading base metals focused streaming and royalty company. ) Basecore was sold recently (Glencore announces the completion of the sale of a royalty package by BaseCore Metals LP ("BaseCore") to Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (“Sandstorm”) for total consideration of US$525 million. BaseCore is owned 50:50 by Glencore and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (“OTPP”).Total transaction consideration was comprised of US$425 million in cash and US$100 million in common shares of Sandstorm as of the announcement date, representing an ownership interest in Sandstorm of 5%.). Well done Mr. Dubey. Sandstorm is a royalty based company. Then along comes Mr. Lassonde with 3.2 million shares. If you didn't know Mr. Lasonde is a highly respected investor, most particular in buying royalty based investments. He's also extremely wealthy and a very generous professional person. He also, apparently , only has 4-5 royalty investments going at one time. He also has been quoted saying he doesn't buy into a Company when Management paid a nickel for shares and they want him to pay $2. Nope. He also has talked about a royalty invest he paid 2 million for and generated a billion $ That may be Franco Nevada but don't quote me on that.
So, to me, CVW is poised to possibly negotiate a royalty deal with CNQ or another Oil Sands player or multiples, who knows? Royalty royalty royalty just keeps popping up the last 6 months. My uneducated guess, royalty deals are not easy to negotiate but looks like CVW is putting everything in place.
Time will tell very soon.
Take care. Bubbs.
