Remember Motorola?  We all got conned on that one.

Here is what happened:
1. They signed something similar
2. It turned out to be a $5M or less figure
3. They issued convertible debentures after the stock popped.

My lesson has been learned with Quarterhill.  This is a Q3 settlement which you will learn about in February of 2023.

And they could have just settled for Pennie's as the cost of the trial is the most expensive part of litigation.  

This is also a partner patent.  You have to split the revenue and the legal costs with the Farnan Bro's.  The IP firm Kees 40% of every dollar earned but has all the expenses.

You always sell any temporary pop in the stock.  

Because there is nothing meaningful left in the pipeline after this.
