RE:3D
I agree with you, if for whatever reason Vale doesn't advance on the torch order then the 3D powder deal will not only be lucrative, but it will also derisk Pyro and more than cover the cash burn rate. Pyro did invest a million in torch building equipment and double their manufacturing footprint so it would not be a surprise to see a torch order. It may just take longer than we all hope for. They may choose to run this first torch for months before investing more into the technology. Hopefully they decide it would be better to test 36 torches, which is what I would guess at.
As for the PFAS, I think eventually one of these potential clients will buy a system and once it is a proven success, the others will follow. Assuming no other better tech comes forward. Filtering doesn't eliminate PFAS so that is only a short term plan and eventually the PFAS build up will overwhelm the filters.
Drossrite? Tolling discussions, potential system sales? The residue valerarisation was said to make the entire dross handling proposition even more appealing.
Spent pot liners?
Torches for anode baking?
Pyro Greengas?
HPQ?
Waste destruction?
Soooo many irons in the fire. A new piece of positive Torch news would be a nice SP and revenue bump, but the 3D powder conract with regular reoccuring revenue would be the real derisker and financial safety net for all business lines. This would also entice more financial institutions.
When I lay me down to sleep I pray the lord my soul to keep and let Pyro grow our dynasty.
Amen.
