Compare that to Switzerland. They have almost as many guns per capita as the US. But unlike the US, they have some pretty strict regulations that come with the Well Regulated Milita. Unlike the free for all it became. It does suit their purpose. As a Swiss Private once told the German Kaiser "We all shoot twice and go home".
