TD's Q4 Beats on NIM Strength; Cautiously Constructive on F23 Earnings Outlook, Notes BMO Capital

10:45 AM EST, 12/02/2022 (MT Newswires) -- TD Bank's adjusted cash EPS of $2.18 was in line with BMO Capital's $2.16 estimate, but beat consensus of $2.06. The slight beat to BMO was from Canadian P&C (higher risk-adjusted NIMs) and a lower effective tax rate. U.S. retail met us.

Canadian Wealth & Insurance was a touch below (market depreciation). Wholesale was slightly higher on better trading. Total bank PCL ratio was 29bps, higher than BMO's 24bps forecast.

TD increased the dividend by +8% to $0.96.

BMO has a Market Perform and $98 target on the stock.
