Switzerland restricted EV charging during a cold snap amid the self induced European energy crisis , California banned charging EV's only this month as the grid was stressed just dealing with normal demand . EV's are nothing more than a novelty that governments encourage , they are filthy when the true carbon footprint is examined .
I find it so irritating when the greens put on their blinders and refuse to discuss the entire picture or consider ALL the facts . Not one can tell you where all this extra electricity will come from or when we might expect any new RELIABLE base load power supply to compensate for when its cloudy and calm .
All about
Total Control... Even if your vehicle is in a heated garage and the power grid is up, someone smarter than you will determine if you can charge your vehicle that particular day.
I read the other day that in Germany a new law will make it possible for the government to decide when and how private citizens can charge their EV...Lesser forms of this already happened in the Fall of 2022 in Colorado, when a utility company overrode and locked 22,000 customers T-stats. Heatwaves aren't a problem when you can control the crappy grid instead of improving it.
Granola crunchers that buy EV's enjoy bending over backwards to appease ESG, the surprise for them will be when they get bent over forward and take it sans lube...
