I am sure the two hedge funds will comment on the deal.  Presumably, they have enough votes and clout to determine if it goes through.  I know I am a no at the current offer.   I see the 1.42 as an opening bid.  I never expected Glencore to bargain  in good faith or the current iteration of the ID to protect shareholders.

This is the start of what we all knew happen when Lau and the other fund guys indicated they would try to take over the board.  I suspect Glencore does not want them looking at the books and see how badly they have screwed shareholders.  I guessing they will pay at least a couple of bucks a share to prevent that from occurring. Lau paid 1.65 for most of his shares, I doubt he takes less.
