That is good for dual channel wifi but dual channel wifi is not Docsis4 and Edgewater had no input to the development of Docsis. DualChannel wifi may become a standard element for a service network but it is not Docsis as a whole.

What Is DOCSIS?

DOCSIS stands for Data Over Cable Services Interface Specification. Since that’s a mouthful, we prefer saying “dok-sis." Basically, DOCSIS is an international telecommunications standard that lets cable television operators add high-speed and telephony data to their current cable TV systems.

Cable subscribers can save money in the long term by purchasing a cable modem that supports DOCSIS, rather than renting one, since most cable operators use DOCSIS. CableLabs, a not-for-profit research and development consortium, invented DOCSIS. Like most cable operators, we’re (Xfinity), members of CableLabs.
