RE:One of the most complete analysis of SNC

RE:One of the most complete analysis of SNC
You guys put to much emphasis on the price target. Nobody knows what the stock price will be in a year; NOBODY. Morningstar's fair value price for snc today is $35.00 cdn. So forget the $30 price target.

You need to look at the thinking, the reasoning behind these evaluations. That is what matters. Two things stand out in this analysis and the conference call. Even if the worst is behind us, some still what proof that these lstks are completely done and a thing of the past (don't forget management had to adjust cashflow forecasts a couple times). One question to that effect (earnings call) was that Eglinton has been 90-95% completed for a while now and is still burning cash.

Second and most important, snc is trading at multiples lower than their peers for a reason. Even without lstks, if you listened to the question period, Edwards was asked why his competition had been working on improving EBIDTA margins years ago while snc was lagging his peers. In other words, snc is less productive than his peers, hence it's stock price. How many times have we read that snc was undervalued? Snc will have a better valuation when it will be comparable to others.

Now for Rad. Nobody could tell you if you should sell your shares at these levels. Some will tell you to sell because they have shorted the stock or sold it to early and hope it falls to buy back. Others will tell you to buy because they are emotionally biased living in a fantasy world where a stock will magically double or triple for no reason.

If you believe that managment has the capacity (knowledge), the will and the courage to take the necessary mesures to become more cost effective (layoffs etc); and you are willing to wait for this to happen, then hold on to your shares. Go look at Stantec's last earnings report. The day we will see a report like that with snc, is the day snc will be trading at $70. In the meantime, depending on the where the stock market is headed and depending on the short ratio of March 15, the stock price can still be quite volatile................

By the way, don't believe what you read here. I have added quite a chunck of shares this week at $28.05. I have been sitting on this dog for almost 4 years (in May), I am willing to wait another year or so.I can't say that I'am very enthusiastic with the present management. I'am hoping that once the lstks are done, some pressure will be made to bring onboard a L'Heureux (Wsp) or Zaslav (WBD) type of guy. A ceo with a vision (and the capacity to share it with others), that will have the goal to make this company great again!
