RE:RE:You Can’t Make This Up

RE:RE:You Can’t Make This UpGood point Nukester.  Thanks for bringing the subject back to the core of this Board.

True...they are the same people.

My view regarding investing in the transition can be boiled down to a couple of points -

1......the incompetent hypocrites that make up the political elite especially in the US (as evidenced by my posting regarding the banks) will screw things up and so my investment strategy recognizes this and in fact counts on them successfully screwing up.  So I have/still am looking for investments in companies that are developing/have solutions to these expected screwups.

2...despite Point 1, the transition towards a less carbon centric world is going to take place irregardless of politicians screwing up.  It is already happening and the technology for this to happen is where a lot of money is going.  These new technologies are advancing quickly and companies doing this will pay out more for investors than companies in the oil industry which at best will be a slow growth industry and most likely a declining industry.  So I have invested in both private and public companies who have technologies to adress the screwups during the transition.  I fully expect that these investment will return a lot more than any investment in an oil company.
