Orvana Minerals Corp. is a multi-mine gold-copper-silver company. It is involved in the evaluation, development and mining of precious and base metal deposits. The Don Mario Operation consists of a set of assets that includes Las Tojas orebody, and the previously mined out lower mineralized zone, upper mineralized zone and Cerro Felix mines. The Taguas Property consists of 15 mining concessions over an area of 3,273.87 hectares, held and managed by its subsidiary Orvana Argentina S.A. Taguas is located in the province of San Juan, on the eastern flank of the Andes.

Orovalle withdraws the ERTE that it had raised with the workers

 

The company will maintain the activity after receiving a provisional authorization from the Environment

Orovalle has informed the workers of the Boins mine, in Belmonte de Miranda, of the withdrawal of the Temporary Employment Regulation File that it had raised last week, after the provisional authorization for the use of the sludge pond while the environmental processing is finalized integration of its enlargement. The ERTE had been announced in anticipation of a stoppage of mining activity, but it has been withdrawn because the plant may continue to be operational while the administrative file, currently in public information, is resolved. The company plans to expand the pool by about 30 meters in height, with perimeter screeds that will be carried out in six phases.
