Hyundai shows off Robot EV charger
that finds and charges an EV without human involvement. Does this sound familiar? While I was aware of the value of Roving Robots in an apartment building parking garage the Hyundai article pointed out that since current charging protocol is for drivers to charge their own car there has been no provision for either drivers with physical limitations or for charging the coming flood of driverless taxis and delivery vehicles. When we get to 2030 and most new cars will be EVs it seems that Hyundai and DMEVS are both thinking about the future and how some charging won't involve human assistance.
